Knowing how to deliver your message in front of an audience is one of the most important steps to success.

Standing on stage and seeing all these pairs of eyes staring at you can be a hard thing to do.
You can lose your audience’s attention very easily if you don’t
aim for the right places at the right moment.
Performing requires listening and paying attention to your audience
and their reactions to the things you do.

Sometimes when I sing on stage I can witness the audience losing their focus on me, I notice that I myself am not in the zone anymore.
The audience can be concentrated in conversation with a friend or on the phone while what I want them to do is concentrate on me and the show.

Over time I learned how to draw my audience’s attention back to me,
It took time but the experience and training paid off.

To give a show is an art, and like any art, it is something to work on.

So what do I do to keep my audience’s attention on the show?
In this article, I will share with you from my own experience and information sources that I have researched in my past and
some tips on how to be more confident on stage and
give your dream performances.

Performing better tip number one – relax.

It is very important to keep calm and take a deep breath,
remember why you chose to put yourself in this position from the first place, a thought that helps me, Life is a show whether I’m on stage or not, enjoy it.

Tip number two – Rehearsals.

It is very important to feel ready and aim the song or performance into the action in real-time effectively and lightly to achieve your show goals.
Before talking about performing in front of an audience it is very important to rehearse and feel ready, know what you try to submit to your audience, what is your performance about or get the idea of what is your final product. How do you dispatch your message?
your audience feels you when you are on stage, they can see and spot if you have not prepared enough.
If you choose to do something, do it the best way that you can.
Use all of your abilities to rehearse and do your homework.

Tip number three – confidence.

Self-confidence is a very important thing,
it;s also a very important key to success.
The way you stand, the way you present things on stage.
Stand straight and believe in what you are doing.
Don’t be terrified to make eye contact with your audience during the performance and smile, you’re doing what you love after all.
Don’t be afraid to make a mistake, If you make a mistake it’s not the end of the world, sometimes you can make the mistake out to be a funny thing or make it look as thought it’s part of the show.
The main thing is to do things with confidence.
Sometimes no one will notice, probably most of the times it’ll be that way.

Perform better tip number four – appearance.

Don’t forget that many times people judge by appearances, so it’s important to be representative, of course, always stick with your truth.
You do not have to change how you look but do look like you are investing in yourself.
You serve as an example to others when you’re on stage,
Be this example.

Get dressed nicely,
Get excited, crying, and everything else is allowed. This is your performance and no one can tell you what to do.
Make it count.

Perform better tip number 5 – Enjoy it.

That’s the most important part of the whole process,
sometimes with all the stress of slavery and repetition, together with coping makes us forget to enjoy the process.
Don’t forget that this is the moment you have been waiting for and your opportunity to have some fun.
The music business isn’t only a lot of hard and consistent work,
so these are the little moments of grace we wanted to get to on the road. Don’t forget to hug them.

I felt the background noise confusing me and I had to make it stop
So I stopped the song and told my audience that this is the moment when they should encourage me up,
Immediately afterward I continued to play and sing.
